By the end I was blown away with the twist. As someone who reads quite a bit of mystery I do expect some kind of final reveal, but I wasn't expecting it to land the way it did. By the time we reach the last page, everything wraps up nicely. Including the title of this book making complete sense in the end.

I absolutely loved this story that is equal parts small town mystery and a fascinating look at the lives of paramedics. Both were done exceptionally well! The main character Emma is endearing and believable, while the mystery keeps you guessing and has a really satisfying conclusion. I burned through this book because I kept wanting to read just one more chapter! If you like Sue Grafton you absolutely have to check this one out!

Great book! Loved the peek into what it's like being a paramedic. I love how with this mystery, finding the dead body ACTUALLY makes sense. Of course the paramedic finds a dead body! My favorite part is there's a page in the book that once you reach that page, the author lets you know that you have all the clues you need to solve the mystery. I love a challenge like that! Didn't get it but you win some you lose some 😅
